Anarchist Black Cross

Artem Chernyshev is an anarchist from Bryansk. He was the administrator of the Telegram channel "Confederation of Anarchist Movements" (KAD) (https://t.me/kad_ifa) and the initiator of the "Libertarian-Anarchist Library." Before his arrest, Artem suffered from prolonged depression, but the prescribed medications weren't helping. He independently researched bupropion, a medication legally used abroad to treat depression and proven highly effective. It was sold in Russia until 2016, when the manufacturer withdrew from the Russian market. Therefore, the drug isn't listed in the official drug registry and is unavailable for purchase in pharmacies, and there are no equivalents in Russia. Artem's psychiatrist approved his treatment, but bupropion is legally unavailable in Russia. So, the anarchist ordered the medication through Telegram. A month and a half after receiving the package containing bupropion, Artyom was arrested and charged with "large-scale drug trafficking." He was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison.
