Roman Valerevich Shvedov 1985 g.r.
A resident of the Rostov region, an anarchist. On September 29, 2022, after being detained, he was fined two thousand rubles under an administrative article on disobeying the lawful demands of a law enforcement officer (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) on charges that he tried to get rid of evidence during a search. Then there were reports that a case of intentional damage to property (Article 167 of the Criminal Code) was opened against Shvedov, but then the charge was reclassified to committing a terrorist act. After Shvedov was detained, a video was published in which a man with a retouched face admits guilt and repents of his actions. Shvedov was taken into custody. During the investigation, the charge was increased once again, charging Shvedov with committing a terrorist act that resulted in significant property damage or other grave consequences. According to investigators, on September 26, at about 3 a.m., he approached the building of the Zimovnikovsky District Administration of the Rostov Region and threw a can of gasoline through the window of the office of the head of the construction and improvement department. The regional FSB department believes that Shvedov did this "in order to destabilize the activities of government bodies, influence their decision-making, and protest against the special military operation to protect the DPR and LPR and partial mobilization in Russia."
He was accused of committing "a terrorist act that resulted in significant property damage or other grave consequences" (referring to the arson of the Zimovnikovsky District Administration of the Rostov Region).
Shvedov Roman Valerievich, born in 1985, was sentenced to 16 years in prison on December 18, 2024, and committed suicide in a pretrial detention center on December 20, 2024 (according to the FSIN).
