Dmitry Syutkin, an anarchist from the Sverdlovsk region, ran the Telegram channel "Volnaya Rodina" (Free Homeland), where he promoted anarchist and Ural separatist ideas. In 2023, when he was 16, he was detained for a post on the Telegram channel "Volnaya Rodina" (Free Homeland), where he promoted a fundraiser for a lawyer for one of the arsonists of military enlistment offices, but was released after questioning.
In September of that year, he was contacted by an "unnamed handler" from the Siberian Battalion, who offered him either to go abroad or to pay for a lawyer. Dima initially refused to leave, but after some time, he changed his mind, and the "handler from Sibbat" gave him a link to another "handler from the RDC," who asked him to deliver Molotov cocktails to certain people. FSB officers were waiting for him at the meeting place.
Dmitry is currently being held in Pretrial Detention Center No. 5 in Yekaterinburg. He is charged with preparing a terrorist attack, inciting terrorist activity, justifying terrorism, participating in a terrorist organization, possessing explosives, and manufacturing explosive devices. He faces a combined sentence of 10 years in prison.
